ABOUT COYOTE BRED
Coyote Bred is a rock band based out of Seattle, WA, formed in 2014 by childhood friends, Jeff Sifferman (Vocals/Guitar) and Kevin Martinez (Drums). With Seattle having such a diverse music scene, Coyote Bred stick out by playing straight ahead rock, with punk and pop undertones, often compared to The Replacements, Foo Fighters, and Green Day.
"The songs don’t need too much explanation, as they are straightforward pop/rock songs with palatable structures that are ubiquitous within popular music. Some are more notable than others but there are no doubt some delightful melodies and rhythms that they present." - Ted Rogen - The Even Ground
In early 2014, Jeff and Kevin decided to rehearse and write a batch of songs together with the intention of starting a rock band. The two have been playing together in bands since 2002, playing heavily around Seattle, and touring the United States multiple times in the melodic punk band, Down We Go. With plans to resume touring with a new band, they self recorded and mixed their debut EP, GREAT HARVEST, and had mastering done at the legendary London Bridge Studios in Seattle.
Coyote Bred started playing shows in and around Seattle in the summer of 2014, as a three piece, with many friends filling in on bass guitar. With the release of the EP in September of the same year, the band started to play more around Washington and Oregon. Sharing the stage with bands such as The Flatliners, Teenage Bottlerocket, The Real McKenzies, The Copyrights, and Lee Corey Oswald and completing many west coast tours by the end of 2015.
With 2016 on the horizon, Coyote Bred has plans to release a new EP in the early part of the year, with more touring to come.
